While there will be no further voter registration weekends leading up to the Local Government Elections on 3 August, residents who either failed, forgot or who are still unsure whether they are registered, correctly registered or where detail is lacking can still register at the Sizakala Centre in Gracedale Road, Winklespruit from 8am to 3pm, Monday to Friday.
“As the election date had not yet been officially gazetted, the voters roll is still not closed so residents can still register,” said Cllr Beetge.
It can, however happen any day and as such we encourage eligible voters not to wait until it’s too late and then realise that they are deprived the opportunity to exercise their democratic right.”
