Biker critically injured in Kingsway crash
The bike came to rest about 150 metres from where he was found in the road
A TEEN motorcyclist was hospitalized following an accident along Kingsway at about 5.30am yesterday morning (Saturday, 23 April).
Netcare 911 paramedics responded to a motorbike crash along Kingsway Road at Amanzimtoti.
Reports indicate the biker was traveling towards Athlone Park when he veered off the road and hit the pavement near High Tide flats. They found the 18-year-old biker had been thrown off the bike and landed some distance in the service road below Kingsway Road. The bike came to rest about 150 metres up the road. The teen was found lying on his back on the tar, with life-threatening injuries. Medics stabilised him before they transported him to a provincial hospital.
