An Orient Park pensioner was found murdered in his Orient Drive, Isipingo home on Wednesday, 13 January.
Nad Nayager, a stalwart in Isipingo and former employee at Home Affairs, is believed to have suffered a gruesome attack by robbers who broke into his home, strangled and left with his hands bound with a cellphone charger.
Provincial police spokesman, Major Thulani Zwane said, “We can confirm the incident that took place yesterday, 13 January at Orient Drive, Isipingo, where a 65-year-old man was found dead inside his residence. His hands were tied and he had multiple injuries on his body.
The motive for the killing is unknown at this stage. A case of murder was opened at Isipingo police station for investigation and no arrest have been made.”
