THE management of Amanzimtoti SAPS appeals to the community to report all criminal activities in the area, especially housebreakings, even if nothing was taken and the perpetrator was inside the house.
“It is imperative that the members of our Local Criminal Record Centre (LCRC) visit these scenes in order to try and lift fingerprints. We have been successful in linking fingerprints and affecting arrests when there is a positive match,” said Toti SAPS communications officer, Capt Charlene van der Spuy.
It is also important to give a detailed description of stolen property with serial numbers, if possible. “When recoveries are made police or security officials these items can be identified and given back to the rightful owners.”
