Police have identified the young girl found murdered in coastal bush in Doonside as an 18-year-old who was staying in an adjacent block of flats.
She is from Gauteng and was on holiday.
Friends in the vicinity helped identified her through a distinctive tattoo. However her next of kin have yet to be informed, hence her name has not been released.
Capt Charlene van der Spuy of Toti SAPS said the teen had been stabbed, but the instrument used to stab her had not yet been confirmed. She also confirmed that ‘bankies’ of dagga had been found close by.
