Twenty-six players from the school’s boys’ and girls’ first teams will be heading to the National Co-Ed Water Polo Tournament, taking place at Reddam House Helderfontein in Gauteng from September 30 to October 4.
The top 20 co-ed schools in the country attend this event. The format is a round-robin based on points by win, lose or draw.
The school’s director of sports, Jeff Harper, said the children have been training hard for the tournament.
“They’ve been training in the school’s pool and at Aqua Lifestyle Centre with their coaches, Greg Thomas and Brodie Birkholtz,” he said.
Harper added that the team will also be playing more games leading up to the tournament.
