BEHR Necessities and Kingsway Hospital hosted a raffle to raise much-needed funds for Khanya Hospice.
With the help of hospital staff and the public buying raffle tickets, Khanya Hospice received a cash donation, and two lucky winners received an Easter hamper on Thursday, April 6.
The names were drawn by Neil McDonald, CEO of Khanya Hospice, and hampers were handed out by André Behr, CEO of Behr Necessities, and Nirvashnee Singh, the trauma department manager.

McDonald said that as a registered non-governmental organisation, they have to do their own fundraising.
“We rely on the goodwill and donations from kind people and companies to be able to do what we do,” he said.
The hospice is always looking for volunteers to assist with fundraising efforts or at their hospice shops.
For more information, contact Neil McDonald on 083 597 8985, or at hospice@khanyahospice.co.za.
Alternatively, donations of unwanted, usable items can be dropped off at their charity shop at 400 Andrew Zondo Road, above Vikings Fish and Chips.
