Doonside fighters aim for MMA victory

All three fighters have unblemished records since turning professional.

THREE mixed martial arts athletes from the Combat Coaching stable in Doonside are busy with their last bit of training as they look forward to taking part in the EFC 96 tournament in Johannesburg on Thursday, August 11.

Bradley and Dylan Swanepoel and Tapiwa Katikati are trained by Morné Swanepoel and all three of them are undefeated since turning professional. Bradley will battle it out against Guide Moyo in the main card fight, while Dylan and Tapiwa will fight Tshepo Majuba and Glody Kanzeko respectively in the preliminary bouts.
Coach Morné said his fighters have been on an intense eight-week training camp.

“Training has gone very well. The level at EFC is the highest on the planet and the same as a Springbok versus All Blacks rugby test, so the athletes have to be prepared to the highest possible level with no stone unturned. These are two modern-day gladiators that get into a closed cage and fight until the other submits or gets knocked out,” said Morné.

All matches will be broadcast live on www.efcworldwide.com
