The organisation serves as the educational side of the SPCA, and the eight-week programme provides information to children in an effort to bring about a full understanding of the responsibility of owning and caring for a dog. The aim is to also instil a culture of love and compassion for dogs.

As they gear up for the next intake, which will start Class 10, Edu-Paw is in need of funds to deworm, vaccinate and sterilise the 12 new dogs in the class. Funds are also needed for the vet account, dog food, blankets, collars, leads and shampoo, as well as weekly snacks and juice for the kids after classes before they take the long walk home after a busy morning. Donations can be made into the following account or dropped off at SPCA, earmarked for Edu-Paw at 1 Nyati Road, Athlone Park.
