Amanzimtoti CPF facilitates crime awareness programme

The focus for the session was on drug awareness, anti-bullying, human trafficking prevention, and cyber safety.

AMANZIMTOTI Saps and the Amanzimtoti Community Police Forum (ACPF) recently facilitated an awareness programme to 150 Grade 6 and 7 learners at Illovo Primary School.

Constable Nkululeko Gwala and Sargeant Nondumiso Mncwabe from Saps, together with members of the ACPF, Department of Community Safety and Liaison and Sparrow Trust facilitated the awareness programme.

The focus for the session was on drug awareness, anti-bullying, human trafficking prevention, and cyber safety.
Amanzimtoti Saps and ACPF prioritises social crime prevention in schools.

“Every child in our policing district should know that they have their own superpowers to stay safe, eyes to watch for warning signs, ears to listen for tricks, a mouth to speak out and ask for help, and a bright mind to dial 10111 or 0800 222 777 in case of anything suspicious,” said ACPF’s public relations officer, Estelle van Eeden.
