Frogfoot hosts Easter egg hunt at Mother of Peace

Easter is traditionally seen as a time for families to get together, yet few of these children are able to experience this due to their circumstances.

FROGFOOT and Vox recently hosted one of their 21 Easter egg hunts at Mother of Peace-Illovo, in an effort to give to those in children’s homes.

“Frogfoot has long looked to be an active member in the communities within which our fibre precincts lie, and wanted to give back where we saw an opportunity to create some joy.

Easter is traditionally seen as a time for families to get together, yet few of these children are able to experience this due to their circumstances.

This year, we wanted to bring our Frogfoot family to them, and give them a treat for Easter,” said Miranda du Preez, head of brand activations at Frogfoot.

Where possible, they tried to choose smaller children’s homes that might not have the support of the government and that are reliant on public support to get by.

Along with the Easter egg hunt, an old-age tradition that children love, there was also other entertainment offered which included singing and dancing, a mascot to add to the fun, painting, a jumping castle and a goodie bag.

The day also included lunch and refreshments for the children. “We would like to give a very special thank you to Anel Quintal from Pizzeria Toscana for pioneering this event, and for the amazing food you served to all our children,” said Mother of Peace project manager, Michael Denton-Cooke.

Du Preez said they wanted this event to be covered to shine a light on Mother of Peace and the people who work tirelessly to ensure that the homes are able to provide a place of shelter to children.
