SAPREF re-opens training centre in Prospecton

The Durban South Training Centre offers various skills development programmes.

THE Durban South Training Centre run by the Durban South Training Trust (DSTT) officially re-opened on Tuesday, February 15.

The launch was at the new premises, located at Number 50 Prospecton Road, Isipingo.

The re-launch comes after the DSTT premises were looted and vandalised during the July 2021 unrest.

The re-opening of the centre offers opportunities to 122 learners who form part of the 2022 intake through various skills development programmes offered by the Prospecton based refinery.

Our skills development motto is ‘we grow our people,’ said SAPREF Managing Director, Victor Bester.

In his keynote address, before cutting the ribbon, MEC of Basic Education in KwaZulu-Natal, Hon Kwazi Mshengu commended the work that the South African Petroleum Refineries (SAPREF) is doing in the skills development space.
