Wanderers Haven spreads hope and love to little ones

The drive will take place at Ezimangweni on Saturday, August 7, and will commence with a prayer walk at 10:00.

Spreading winter warmth to little ones in need is the mission of Wanderers Haven’s soup and blanket drive.
The organisation has partnered with Usizo Lomdeni.Org and Vera + Co for the wonderful initiative.

“We did a drive for the homeless and elderly and we felt it only fitting to assist the children. Our target date was Mandela Day, however, due to the unrest we had to postpone the drive. We have managed to get amazing partners to sponsor veggies and blankets,” said co-founder of the organisation, Johnny Swanepoel.

The drive will take place at Ezimangweni on Saturday, August 7, and will commence with a prayer walk at 10:00.
On Monday, August 9, Wanderers Haven with Splash Water World will host a fundraising market. The market will take place from 10:00 to 17:00. The day will feature live entertainment by DJ Fluffy, children’s games and lots of other activities. Entrance on the day is R10.

The organisation also runs a charity shop to generate funds and appeals to the community to donate items that they no longer require. Donations of peanut butter, jam, cereal, pasta, canned goods, milk, sugar, tea and noodles will be much appreciated. Funds can also be donated through the following bank details: Capitec Bank, Wanderers Haven: savings account, account number: 1468687415.
