[WATCH] – Historic building set alight in Isipingo

The PT Alarms Tactical team responded to the fire scene last night and watched in dismay as the flames engulfed the building.

A historic building in Isipingo was ablaze on Thursday night, July 15, however, it is unclear if the fire was started by those looting in the area.  Earlier yesterday, local businesses were also set alight. The PT Alarms Tactical team responded to the fire scene last night and watched in dismay as the flames engulfed the building.

“It was sad to see that landmark building in Isipingo ablaze. It is uncertain if the fire was started by looters. Some locals said they have been guarding the roads and did not notice any group bent on causing trouble. The cause of the fire must be investigated and the perpetrators must be brought to book,” said PT Alarms spokesperson Dhevan Govindasamy.
