Generous donation for Bobbi Bear

"We are finding it hard financially and would be grateful for any assistance that we can get," said CEO of the organisation, Eureka Olivier.

Operation Bobbi Bear is a brighter and safer home for abused children, thanks to a kind-hearted gesture.
Art Solar responded to the call of need from the organisation and donated state of the art solar panels to ensure that the children will never experience darkness in their lives again.

“When there is load shedding, the children are terrified of the darkness. We sometimes have to park our vehicles closer to the building and leave the lights on just to calm the children down. It was becoming heartbreaking to see. We are so grateful for this wonderful act of humanity. Bobbi Bear is indeed a much happier and relaxed environment for the children even when the lights are off,” said CEO of the organisation, Eureka Olivier.

Operation Bobbi Bear is a human rights organisation committed to helping sexually abused children in Amanzimtoti. A ‘Bobbi Bear’ is a non-threatening means (toy) for child victims of sexual abuse to communicate the nature of the abuse, crossing all language barriers and preventing secondary abuse at the point of rescue.
An appeal is also made for essential items that the organisation is in desperate need of.

“We are finding it hard financially and would be grateful for any assistance that we can get.”  The organisation appeals to the public for the following items: any second-hand clothes, shoes, linen and towels for all ages, non-perishable food items, sanitary pads, toothbrushes and toothpaste, soap, deodorants, basic medical stock, Dettol or Savlon, antibacterial cream, shampoo, nappies, baby toiletries.  Financial support will also be gladly accepted.
