[WATCH] – Seed of Hope welcomes virtual visitors

The virtual tour can still be viewed on the Seed of Hope Facebook page and YouTube.

The Covid-19 restrictions have connected Seed of Hope (SoH) to the world.  Some part of the world now know about the Seed of Hope community development centre, thanks to the virtual tour.

“Every year we invite members of the community to visit our centre so that they may be aware of what we offer and also make use of our services. When we realised early this year that we may not be able to host people at the centre due to Covid-19; we decided to use this opportunity to invite people to join us from the comfort of their homes, offices, countries and provinces,” said CEO of SoH, Londiwe Myeza.

More than 500 people have viewed the tour on Facebook, and it managed to reach over 50 people on YouTube.

“They have been afforded an opportunity to see some of the work that SoH does in the community through various initiatives such as skills, child and youth as well as community care programmes. Our programmes include social work services, pastoral care, elderly empowerment and healthy homes and families support. The skills programme aims to provide young and old people with computer, baking, sewing and carpentry skills that they can use to find employment or start their businesses. Through our child and youth programme, we are able to reach young people in high schools and equip them with life skills, career guidance, love, sex and relationships talks. Through this tour, we have also received responses from people who want to donate their time, resources and finances. We also shared our plans for 2021 and also fundraising initiatives.”

The virtual tour can still be viewed on the Seed of Hope Facebook page and YouTube.
