4 Paws and a Tale Rescue grateful for communities support [LETTER]

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

EDITOR – With this year coming to an end 4 Paws and a Tale Rescue has taken stock of the year gone past and let out a sigh of relief.  As for just about everyone else, this year has been a doozy. We saw an influx of new animals into the area we work in bringing with them humans who don’t know the area, who are as shocked as everyone else, jobless, penniless and hopeless.

This under normal circumstances speaks of danger for the animals but this year was even worse. During lockdown, we made the difficult decision to re-locate our Toti shop to Scottburgh which involved many hours of packing and moving for which I must say a very special thanks to Lorraine Brown and Portia and Jaqueline Smith for all the hard work they put into moving and setting up our beautiful shop in Scottburgh. These women are amazing and without them 4 Paws and a Tale Rescue will be lost.

Also a big thanks to all the loyal supporters who have donated goods to sell. Your generosity just does not end and you make it possible for us to carry on when so many other rescue groups are facing closure. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. We have saved and helped so many animals and it’s all because of you. Then to those folks that support our shop, we love having you there. Lastly thank you to our volunteers, you work tirelessly and you are our back bone.

2021 holds a new beginning for us as we have at last found our rescue haven and we moved home, dogs and cats there in July. The dogs are happy with all the space to run and play and the cats climb trees all day long.  As for us humans, we work and dream of all the things we want to do on our ‘farm’.  We envisage putting up kennels in the new year, but the land has to be fenced for security reasons and funds need to be found for that before we can start building as the safety of the dogs is our main priority.  If you have building material you don’t need that we can use, feel free to contact me.

We wish you all a wonderful Christmas and the most amazing and financially stable New Year.

Woofs and sloppy kisses from all at 4 Paws and a Tale Rescue

Nicky and Johnny
