Kingsburgh Welfare re-opens its doors to Amanzimtoti public

The welfare charity shop is open from Monday to Friday, 8am to noon.

Kingsburgh Child and Family Welfare has re-opened. This is fantastic news, as the organisation faced closure last month after it could not operate its charity shop and has been battling to raise enough support and funding to secure its future.

“We are happy to inform our community that we have re-opened our doors. There will be limited services for a while, but we will be so happy to see our regular customers in the charity shop, from Monday to Friday, 8am to noon. Our society does not receive government or Lotto funding, so we are solely reliant on the generosity of the community.

If any service clubs or organisations would like to do a fundraiser on our behalf, we would be grateful. Our motto this year for 2021 ‘Look up, get up and don’t ever give up!’,” said newly-elected chairperson, Iris Canham.
