Amanzimtoti attacker nabbed by CCPO

If it wasn’t for our informer base, who knows how many other people would have fallen victim to this suspect.

The thug who viciously attacked a father and homeowner in Len Nicol Road on Monday, 31 August is behind bars, thanks to the CCPO and its informer network. “After last week’s horrific attack, I managed to identify the suspect through one of my informers,” said CCPO committee member, George Snodey. In the early hours of Friday morning, 4 September, Snodey, accompanied by Tony Lokker of ET Rapid Response and Toti detectives went in search of him. He was found and positively identified in his room in Iziko, and some of the clothing he was wearing during the attack was also found. “We took him to Isipingo, where the phone was sold and then to a slum area in Durban, where the phone was eventually found after it had changed hands another three times. “This is another reason why you need to join the CCPO. If it wasn’t for our informer base, who knows how many other people would have fallen victim to this suspect. He has just been released from prison recently for multiple counts of house breaking. The teamwork between the CCPO, ET and detectives ensured this suspect is once again back in a cell.” READ ALSO: Amanzimtoti homeowner stabbed in brazen attack   DID YOU KNOW? Click on the words highlighted in red to read more on this and related topics. To receive news links via WhatsApp or Telegram, send an invite to 061 694 6047 The South Coast Sun is also on FacebookTwitterInstagram and Pinterest – why not join us there?
