CCPO nabs armed robbers

He and an accomplice had robbed a man of R600 and a cellphone a few weeks ago.

A second suspect involved in an armed robbery at knifepoint in Entombeni Drive on Monday, 27 April was apprehended on Wednesday morning, 29 April, thanks to the CCPO informer network in Felikisi. CCPO officers Isaac Ngema, Lloyd Maphumulo and crewman Muzi Shezi chased one down, with the other escaping. He was apprehended and handed over to Toti SAPS.

He and an accomplice had robbed a man of R600 and a cellphone a few weeks ago. The victim recognised them walking near Storage City and called the CCPO with a description. The message was relayed over the radio and a Blue Security officer apprehended them. They were positively identified and linked to the case that was opened.

Tuesday, 28 April

Two suspects were apprehended when they returned to the scene of the crime after it was brought to CCPO’s attention that the light fittings at the rugby club had been tampered with.

Saturday, 25 April

A stolen TV was recovered by CCPO committee member, George Snodey, ET Rapid Response officer, Ashley Naidoo and Toti SAPS from the person it was sold to in Lovu Township.

Friday, 24 April

A high pressure cleaner was recovered and the thief apprehended in Francis Place, Amanzimtoti in the early hours after he was spotted by a CCPO guard.
