Amanzimtoti housebreaker comes up short

He located one of the suspects, hidden right under our noses in the darkness.

A K9 officer tracked down a known housebreaker in the dark on Friday, 3 April.

While ET Rapid Response and CCPO officers were out patrolling Toti streets, they came across house breaking suspects, who fled into the darkness once they were spotted. The team did not hesitate to chase into the dark bush after them.

“Our tactical response team’s K9 arrived a short while later. While members were chasing the suspects in the valley, Vato, our latest rookie, was taken out his kennel for a stretch. During his walk, he indicated what he’s trained for and located one of the suspects, hidden right under our noses in the darkness,” said ET Rapid Response South Coast managing member, Tony Lokker.

The suspect was apprehended and handed over to Metro Police and Toti SAPS.
