Amanzimtoti’s top matric celebrates 10 distinctions

Kuswag Skool celebrated a 100% pass rate from the 67 learners who wrote.

The top matric learner in Amanzimtoti for 2019 was Hridhay Somera of Kingsway High School with 10 distinctions and an average of 94 for his nine IEB subjects. Second best at Kingsway was Aaryikh Rawtree with seven distinctions and a 91.2% aggregate, while third was Sibusisiwe Gcwensa with six distinctions and an 87.1% aggregate. A total of 198 learners wrote the exams, with three failures to give the school a 98.5% pass rate.

At Kuswag Skool Jessica van Zyl was the top learner with five distinctions and an 84% aggregate. Second was Tine Els with one distinction, five Bs and a 74.42% aggregate, while third was Skye Taljaard, with four distinction and a 74.28% aggregate. The school celebrated a 100% pass rate from the 67 learners who wrote.

Amanzimtoti High School achieved an overall pass rate of 99% and 72% of the learners earned a bachelor’s pass of the 152 learners who wrote. The top learner was Sinenhlanhla Nxumalo, second was Keegan le Roux and third was Kimberly Govender.
