Man arrested for unlicensed firearm in Umbumbulu

Police officers were following up on information about a person in possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition at Ezigeni.

A 30-year-old suspect was charged with the possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition, recently.

During an operation in Umbumbulu, police officers were following up on information about a person in possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition at Ezigeni.

Provincial police spokesperson, Lt-Col Thulani Zwane said, “The police officers proceeded to an identified location where they searched the suspect. He was found in possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.”

The suspect appeared at the Umbumbulu Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
