Toti ramblers hike through Krantzkloof Nature Reserve

Toti Ramblers hike through Krantzkloof Nature Reserve in Kloof on Sunday, 25 August.

They will hike the Longshadow trail as far as the iNungumbane Falls, a fairly easy course that will take about two and a half hours. The walk is through a lovely riverine forest. Most of the reserves 532 hectares is covered by dense forest and vegetation. Bring sun screen and your hat. There will be a picnic after the hike, so don`t forget your chair. Meet at Lords and Legends parking area at 7am to sort out transport. Entrance fee is R40 unless you have a Rhino Card. Wild cards will not be accepted. Directions:

From Durban, take the M13 towards Hillcrest. After the top of Fields Hill take exit 23, Kloof/ M33 Village Road. Turn right over the bridge to the traffic circle and proceed straight past the traffic circle (Spar on right). At the next traffic circle, turn right and travel past Kloof station (Stokers on the left), keep in left lane up onto bridge and left over railway and then left again into Church Road. At T-junction (Church on left) turn left and about 50m later turn right into Kloof Falls Road. Keep on Kloof Falls Road for less than 3km until you see the entrance to the reserve on your right.
