Five suspects storm Isipingo Beach home

It is believed a silver Toyota Etios with no number plate was seen leaving the property after the robbery.

Five suspects allegedly stormed into an Isipingo Beach home and fled with two flat-screen televisions and an Apple iPhone, a laptop and charger, on Tuesday, 20 August.  It is believed that a silver Toyota Etios with no number plate was seen departing from the home invasion.

Communications officer for Alpha Alarms, Krishnee Naidoo explained that four suspects derailed the driveway gate to access the property while the driver remained in the vehicle.

“Alpha Alarms received a panic and Alpha Alarms Response teams were dispatched to the premises but the suspects fled.  According to the occupants, the four suspects were armed and proceeded to the house where they forced open the burglar gate and front door to enter the premises. The suspects then proceeded to ransack the house while a female from the house was in the bedroom,” said Naidoo.

Upon the female hearing unfamiliar sounds she exited the room to check and was accosted by two of the suspects who demanded gold from her.

“She informed the suspects that there was no gold and the suspects helped themselves to two flatscreen TVs, an Apple iPhone, a laptop and charger.”

Isipingo Beach CPF and Isipingo SAPS also responded to the scene and a case has been opened for investigation.
