Warner Beach author pens inspirational novel

The author's latest book is about a story of a young woman who had a difficult childhood and had given up hope when she is saved by God’s Word.

A Warner Beach Christian author has released her second novel. Eria Grove’s ‘Chains of the Past’ tells the story of a young woman who had a difficult childhood and she had given up hope when she is saved by God’s Word.

Her second novel follows the theme of her inaugural release ‘Broken Clay Pot’ six years ago, but is a stand-alone story. “Both books tell about brokenness and how the Lord has healed. My first is almost a biography, as I had a very tough life and was involved in all the wrong things like alcohol and drugs, before I came to the Lord. We lost everything and then God rescued us,” said Eria, who is a pastor at the Word is Truth home church she runs with her husband Eugene.

“I get the ideas for my books from praying. I’ve starting my third, which I think will be the first of a series of children’s books.”

Eria was born in Caroline in Mpumulanga, but grew up in Swaziland. She matriculated in Naboomspruit and lived in Pretoria before moving to Toti about eight years ago. Her and Eugene were saved in 2007 and she was a counsellor and moved on to minister about seven years ago. She does a lot of ministry work in Phoenix and Gauteng.

This is my heart. If only one person can get help or encouragement from my books, that will be amazing to me.”
