Wanted housebreaker back behind bars

Patience paid dividends for a CCPO supervisor, Isaac Dindi and crewman Muzi Shezi who spotted the man loitering behind DSM Mall.

A repeat housebreaker, who has already spent three terms in prison, is finally back behind bars thanks to the Community Crime Prevention Organisation (CCPO).

“CCPO, ET Rapid Response and Blue Security officers have been waiting for him to slip up and that’s exactly what he did. His fingerprints came up at a house breaking in Beach Road, Winklespruit and since then we have been out a number of times, mainly in the early hours of the morning, trying to find him, but he moves around and we have been unable to locate him. We knew he was around and it was just a matter of time before he showed up, so we just kept on searching,” said CCPO committee member, George Snodey.

That patience paid dividends when CCPO supervisor, Isaac Dindi and crewman Muzi Shezi spotted him loitering behind DSM Mall at about 11am on Thursday, 30 May. He was taken to Toti SAPS, where he was charged and detained.
