Business robber nabbed in Amanzimtoti CBD

The suspect is a well-known car guard in Toti and familiar to guys on the road.

Amanzimtoti’s superman, Community Crime Prevention Organisation (CCPO) and Blue Security patrol officer, Mbuyiselo ‘Triple M’ Mdunjane and his crewman Mbambo Nhlanhla nabbed a business robber on Tuesday, 28 May.

“A business premises was broken into in the Toti CBD last week and a number of items from laptops to computers and tools were stolen. Triple M and Nhlanhla got a lead regarding the suspect involved. The suspect is a well-known car guard in Toti and familiar to guys on the road, having previously been arrested for criminal activity,” said CCPO committee member, George Snodey.

The robber was tracked down and interrogated. He eventually took officers to where the stolen items were and most of them were recovered. “A few items are still outstanding, but we are sure they will soon be located,” said Snodey.
