Lions club offers free diabetes and blood pressure testing

Kingsburgh Lions also has a number of wheelchairs, walkers and crutches at their disposal.

Kingsburgh Lions hosts free diabetes and blood pressure testing at Arbour Crossing Pick n Pay on the second Saturday of every month. “A trained nursing sister gives of her time voluntarily to help the Kingsburgh Lions in this service to the community,” said Lion Lynn Lyle.

“In addition to the ongoing projects, many people in need of hearing and eye tests are assisted and, in many cases, provided with hearing aids or glasses. The Hearing Lab and Torga are most generous in helping the Lions in this regard.”

Kingsburgh Lions also has a number of wheelchairs, walkers and crutches at their disposal, which are in great demand by patients who have had surgery and are in need of walking aids on a temporary basis. For more information, call Kingsburgh Lions president, Moira Rigby on 031-903-3087.
