Winds cause havoc at Amanzimtoti Library

The damage has resulted in the library being closed indefinitely for repairs.

POWERFUL winds that tore through Amanzimtoti on Sunday evening, 3 February around 7pm caused damage to the roof of the Amanzimtoti Library at the Civic Centre.

The damage has resulted in the library being closed indefinitely for repairs.

The strong winds wrecked havoc in the roof of the local library. Avid readers or those using the library for study purposes are to note that the facility is closed to the public as of Monday, 4 February. Books are to be returned as usual and can be returned in the drop slot on the door of the library.

Management was asked about an estimated time that the library will be closed for and the South Coast Sun is currently awaiting a response.
