Help Toti sisters reach inter-provincial waterpolo tournament

Jessica and Stephanie Erasmus are preparing to compete in an inter-provincial tournament in East London from 13 to 17 December.

Amanzimtoti ‘water babies’ Jessica (16) and Stephanie Erasmus (12) have been selected for KZN waterpolo teams. The sisters, who play for Amanzimtoti High School, made the KZN U14 and KZN U13B teams respectively.

The pair excel at all sports water-based and last year made a name for themselves at the South African Canoe Championships in August. “We only started playing waterpolo in February,” they said. “We took part in an open day at the school and when swimming practise was cancelled the next day, we tried waterpolo. We loved it from the start.”

The pair now train every day of the week in Durban with their KZN teammates. They are preparing to compete in an inter-provincial tournament in East London from 13 to 17 December.

They have to raise R20,000 for both to be able to compete and they are looking for sponsors. If you can help, call their mother Anneke on 031-916-1046. “We are excited for the tournament and we want to thank Bonamanzi Service Station for their support so far.”
