Keep Christmas tradition alive with donations

Residents and local businesses are invited to make a contribution to the CCPO Christmas Fund.

Christmas is fast approaching and it is time to spare a thought for Community Crime Prevention Organisation (CCPO) guards who, come rain or shine, are committed and dedicated to keeping the Toti community safe.

Four years ago, Reena Solomon started a tradition of asking the community to assist in gifting all 28 street patrol guards, reaction officers and supervisors a hamper at the end of the year to thank them for their efforts.

“This year I have decided to do something different and give each one of them a backpack, with ‘stocking fillers’ or in this case ‘backpack fillers’, including a beanie, T-shirt, cap, water bottle and flask,” said Reena. “I invite all residents and local businesses to make a contribution to the CCPO Christmas Fund to show their appreciation. Remember, no donation is too big or too small.”
