Toti fighters fly MMA flag high

Internationally-recognised MMA coach and fighter, Morne Swanepoel had three of his Toti fighters in action at this prestigious event.

Three warriors kept the Amanzimtoti mixed martial arts (MMA) flag flying high with victories at the MFC tournament at the Greyville Race Course Convention Centre on Sunday, 2 September.

A total of 14 fights were scheduled on the night to showcase SA’s top amateur cage fighters in action and the excitement was high, as this is the event held just before the prestigious International EFC Tournament.

Internationally-recognised MMA coach and fighter, Morne Swanepoel had three of his Toti fighters in action at this prestigious event, with two of them being his prodigy sons, Dylan and Bradley.

Bradley fought the previous feather weight champ, Brian Dlamini and beat him with a rear naked choke in the second round. Dylan fought Nhlaka Ntulu in the feather weight division and overcame him, also with a rear naked choke, in the first round.

The third Team MMA fighter in action that night, Bheki Ngcobo fought in the bantam weight division against Vuyo Jula and beat him in an unanimous decision over three rounds.
