Rifle-wielding gang robs Amanzimtoti resident arriving home from airport

The man was robbed outside his Raymond Road home in St Winifreds

An Amanzimtoti resident who may have been followed all the way home from King Shaka International Airport, was robbed by a gun and rifle-wielding gang when he arrived outside his home earlier today (Thursday, 22 March).

Blue Security spokesman Andreas Mathios said four suspects robbed the resident outside his Raymond Road home in St Winifreds when he arrived home from the airport.

“The gang arrived in a white car and held up the resident at gunpoint, pulling him out of his car. They stole his Samsung Note 5, a wallet containing R1,000, a bag containing personal documents and his car keys. Fortunately, he was not injured during the incident,” Mathios said.

They left the man’s car untouched and fled.
