The gang fled on foot with an undisclosed sum of cash.

Armed robbers held up an Amanzimtoti restaurant manager and robbed him of cash on Sunday night, 10 December.

“The manager opened the back door of the restaurant to let a staff member leave for home, when he was accosted by the gang who must have been lying in wait. They forced their way into the premises and took the manager to the office where the day’s takings were being cashed up,” said Mathios.
