Many ways to help Toti SPCA this festive season

With the busy festive season upon it, the shelter is in dire need of any form of donations.

THE season for giving has fast-descended and the local SPCA prays it doesn’t get forgotten.

As it receives no government funding and relies solely on the community’s generosity, Amanzimtoti SPCA reminds the public of the variety of donations it would gratefully receive.

All donations made are hugely appreciated by the local shelter – be it cash, pet food, blankets, dog leashes or second hand items to sell in the charity shop. The SPCA thanks those who contribute towards the monthly (R30, R50, whatever contribution can be made) fundraising drive every month, and to those who donate in their own way.

With the busy festive season upon it, the shelter is in dire need of any form of donations. The thrift shop on the premises of the SPCA at 1 Nyati Road, Athlone Park aids the shelter greatly. However, as expected, stocks of clothing, books, household belongings and bric-and-brac are dwindling.

The shelter reminds the community that seemingly ‘unwanted’ belongings are received with appreciation by the shelter. Donations can be dropped off at the 1 Nyati Road office from Monday to Friday, between 8.30am and 4pm and on Saturdays between 8.30am and noon.

Cash donations can be made into the following account:
Amanzimtoti SPCA

Account number 053211189
Branch code 057827
Reference: donation
