Toti cat-carer’s kindness will be missed

The kindness and endless care Dayle Robinson showed ferals scattered all over Amanzimtoti and further, has left a legacy that will live on.

THE most selfless cat-carer of the town, Dayle Robinson died on Sunday night, 29 October at the age of 61.
However the kindness and endless care she showed ferals scattered all over Amanzimtoti and further, has left a legacy that will live on.

Dayle was born and lived in Durban her entire life.

She ran the Facebook page, Cat Walk Toti and lived at her sanctuary on a farm in Craigieburn, where she homed and cared for all the feral cats she possibly could. The remarkable woman fed ferals at the old airport and at Pick ‘n Pay Athlone Park.

All who knew her admitted that she put the cats before herself everytime, and had a huge passion for what she did. She was a special soul that will never be forgotten. Growing up in Durban North, Dayle always loved animals and was a passionate horse rider, until an injury prohibited her from riding again.

“I ask for your prayers that she is now experiencing the deep peace she so needed, my brave, gentle, loving, stubborn little sister who gave everything she had to her beloved cats,” said Wendy-Anne.
“Dayle, I love you so much and will miss you every minute of every day.”

At her specific request, there will be no funeral or memorial service. Her body will be cremated and ashes left to her family to scatter where they feel fit.

Dayle was very proud of her daughter, Cassandra Lynne Arbuckle who lives in Australia with her two beautiful children.

Friends and family of the cat-woman sincerely thank all who supported her, including the Amanzimtoti SPCA who worked closely with her. It should be noted that the Cat Walk Toti Facebook page will no longer be operational.

However, the ferals that were previously fed still need to be cared for.

As the Cat Walk Toti bank account is now closed, monetary donations cannot be deposited into the account but donations of cat food will be greatly appreciated. Donations can be dropped off at Whispers Craft Shop in Warner beach, or Readers Rest in Seadoone Mall.
