HERBIE Hofmann, Owen Turner and Allan Raubenheimer were the overall winners of the Winklespruit Bowling Club men’s trips played on Thursday.
Second session winners were Bryan Diener, Neville Roscoe and Noel Saville.
The 100 board was won by Neville Roscoe. Overall winners of the Les John 2-4-2 played on Saturday were Brian Pasfield and Sylveigh Ananiadis. Second session winners were Eddie and Lou Lou Bingham. First session was taken by Brian Cox and Sheila Court.
The Friday evening bring and braai was successful and well attended. Everyone enjoyed the pap and gravy prepared by Trish. There will be no Friday evening meals for the next two weeks. Diarise the following dates: The green is closed for annual green maintenance as from 19 October and will re-open in about four to six weeks’ time. Note the green will be closed and not the club, so the Friday evening meals and attendance draw will still carry on over this period.
