Ipahla Road burglars brandish large knives

We warn people that if they hear a noise outside their houses during the night, to not go check if they are unarmed,

A housebreaker was nabbed after an attempted housebreaking in iPahla Road in the early hours of Monday morning, 2 October.

The house’s outside alarm beams were activated and Blue Security/Community Crime Prevention Organisation (CCPO) response officer, Arthur Buthelezi responded.

He managed to apprehend one of the thugs, while another two escaped. Housebreaking implements, keys and three large knives were recovered.

“We warn people that if they hear a noise outside their houses during the night, to not go check if they are unarmed,” said CCPO committee member, George Snodey. “If you see the weapons these guys are carrying, you realise they won’t hesitate to use them if confronted.”
