Khanya Hospice needs your help this Mandela Day
Our services are offered for free, but they are not free for us to provide.
Khanya Hospice staff hopes the Amanzimtoti public will support them this Mandela Day, as they in turn support their patients.
“Some blankets were donated by the Warner Beach Methodist Church and our accountant Elaine Trotter has been busy crocheting blankets, which will all to be given to our patients on Tuesday, 18 July to commemorate Madiba’s birthday,” said CEO, Neil McDonald.

Khanya Hospice offers free palliative nursing care to people with life-threatening diseases and offer support to their families. “Our services are offered for free, but they are not free for us to provide.
We have to buy whatever we need and use for our patients, like wound care dressing, pain killers, linen savers, adult nappies and toiletries.
In many instances, we also have to give a food parcel, as patients have not had anything to eat when our nursing staff arrive.”
