Pranisha Bhooden has created a safe, private and tranquil environment to conduct mammogram examinations.

The first exclusive mammogram suite away from a hospital environment, South Coast Mammography Centre, opened its doors on the beautiful Hibiscus Coast recently.

It is privately owned by Pranisha Bhooden whose passion for mammography was ignited 14 years ago. She is a familiar face to many of her patients as she has been in Port Shepstone for the past 20 years.

“Getting to meet my patients and hearing their stories have grown me in so many ways. I also use their messages of encouragement to support other women.”
She aims to make an impact and difference in these women’s lives with quality care as her main focus.

As some women are so sceptical of having mammograms because of previous experiences or stories told, she has created a safe, private and tranquil environment to conduct their mammogram examinations.

All patients’ sessions are appointment based for their convenience. Besides doing the mammogram, she also does the ultrasound which accompanies the study. Her aim is to also get the report to the patient before they leave.

Her message to all her patients is that she thanks each one of them for their strength which is unimaginable in so many ways. She looks forward to them enjoying the space she has created just for them.
