High five for variety at Bates Motors

Bates Motors has had a dealership in Shelly Beach since 2021, opened during the time of the Covid pandemic.
Sales consultants Patrick Cele and Sthe Faku have been selling cars and providing motoring advice on the five product offerings from that time.
While the main dealership is based a little inland (Izotsha), this one is situated on the busy Marine Drive road, across the road from Shelly Centre.
Vehicles marques sold comprises of Citroen, Fiat, Jeep, Opel and Peugeot.
Citroen: The C5, a classy SUV, is coming to our shores soon, and anyone who has seen it has said ‘wow’. It comes with a 1.6-l engine, 121kW of power and 240Nm of torque with sophisticated hydraulic suspension.
Fiat: The brand may have had a reputation for smallish, tinny cars in the past, but that’s changed, with the company producing much more solid, trendier, versatile and desirable vehicles e.g Fiat 500x Sport 1.4-l Turbo with its 7” Uconnect radio and Navigation system.
Jeep: Produced, since 1941 and still a winning brand, including the 3.6-l V6 Grand Cherokee with 209kw and 347NM, also fuel friendly at 10.3 l/100km. It’s an eight-speed auto, seven-seater. Interestingly, due to popular demand, the five-seater Cherokee is now available to order. Also enjoy the new Jeep Gladiator double cab with its modern technology and fun to drive.
Opel: New Corsa Lite with 1.2-l with 55kW is available now, a vehicle many have been waiting eagerly for. It’s zippy, economical and affordable. At the other end of the spectrum, the Opel Zafira Life 2.0-l TD eight-speed auto with its spacious nine-seater capacity, is available as well.
Peugeot: The 208 is a very in-demand vehicle, thanks to its stylish design, power and wide array of features like piano keys, android auto and apple car play.
