BAIC makes presence felt

The Beijing X55 is the company's innovation-driven compact SUV, featuring electrification, intelligence, connectivity, and advanced technology.

BAIC South Coast has been in Margate for nearly a year and has made an impact in many ways.

It’s added variety to the Audi and Volkswagen dealership, situated on the bend as one drives into Margate, with the Chinese vehicles adding something different.
“We want to people to know we are here and have two quality BAIC vehicles on offer,” said sales manager Zane Nadasen.

There are three derivatives of the Beijing X55 – namely the Dynamic, Elite and Premier.
This is the vehicle which won the Compact Family Category in the recent South African Car of the Year competition, no small feat against some strong competition.
BAIC (Beijing Automotive Industry Corporation) is one of China’s leading automobile manufacturers.

The Beijing X55 is the company’s innovation-driven compact SUV, featuring electrification, intelligence, connectivity, and advanced technology.
It is built on the BAIC Group’s latest generation Beijing modular functional architecture platform, underpinning future vehicle development, including plug-in hybrid and EV derivatives.

Then, there’s the B40 Plus for those more adventurous and wanting to go off-roading a little.
These are the two BAIC vehicles currently available in South Africa. “Visit us at the dealership and enjoy a test drive,” invited Zane.
