Halfway Group adds Honda Auto and JAC Motors
Both dealerships have a full team of sales executives, a professional aftersales team, workshop, parts and service department.
The Halfway Group, founded in 1965, has to date enjoyed a journey of some note, with 25 independent dealerships in Southern Africa and Botswana.
The group is now adding another two, namely Halfway Honda Port Shepstone and Halfway JAC Motors Port Shepstone.
These will be situated at the landmark premises at Mbango Commercial Properties, Old Main Road, Port Shepstone.
Sales managers for the two dealerships are Thulani Qwabe (Honda) and Vincent Bulala (JAC).
Thulani has a background in accounting and a Masters degree in Business Administration. He worked in the transport sector for 10 years, specialising in business development and corporate finance.
Vincent also has a wealth of experience with a background in farming, accounting, community development and the gaming industry.
After sales manager, Deon Chetty oversees the service and parts department. He has vast knowledge and skills of the motoring industry and is passionate about vehicles.
They are eager and excited about the two brands and welcomed South Coasters to the official opening last Saturday, with a live broadcast by Vuma 103FM with Linda Shekinah Mothae.
“The opportunity to expand product offerings came about and it’s an exciting time with much potential, especially JAC which is fairly new to the country and has a superb range of vehicles, covering niche gaps in the market,” said Vincent.
The JAC range includes affordable workhorses, ranging from the X200 bakkie (single and double cab), as well as some of the most affordable double cabs in the country in the T6 and T8 in four-wheel drive.
There’s also a wide range of commercial trucks on offer, especially attractive considering the current economic conditions.
JAC Motors will offer the services of a mobile technician and 24-hour roadside assistance for its customers.
Honda, with its rich history, is already a well established brand in the country, offering famously reliable vehicles including the Amaze and four-wheel drive CRV.

Halfway Auto South Coast is led by Sicelo Nyandeni, who oversees five different dealerships.
He has much experience in the motoring industry plus numerous awards under his belt.
Thulani and Vincent are excited about the possibilities that lie ahead, and with Sicelo’s guidance and oversight, anticipate taking Honda and JAC forward in strength and style.
