MARBURG property and business owners are fed up with the authorities not taking action against prostitutes who hang around residential areas.
Residents claim that overgrown properties along Deepvale Road have added to the urban decay.
Illegal businesses, unkempt verges, litter, dumping and the parading prostitutes are being blamed for the spike in crime in the suburb.
According to the locals “all sorts of criminals and drug dealers were being enticed to the area because of the sex workers”.
There is a special meeting being held at the Marburg Library today (Thursday 13th) at 6pm.
Residents are urged to attend.
