THE now well-established South Coast Spring Wine Festival is always a sparkling evening, but this year the organisers at Riverbend Crocodile Farm took it to new heights. With 120 fantastic wines on offer from 30 of South Africa’s top estates, Riverbend’s annual spring celebration just had to be a success.
By adding divine food, wonderful music, meticulous attention to detail, perfect weather and a fabulous party atmosphere, the organisers came up with a winning recipe. This year, the wine tasting tables were set up in ‘avenues’ in an airy marquee in Riverbend’s lovely garden. The attractive layout gave the festival a country village feel, adding to the relaxed, informal atmosphere.
The festival was a true celebration of spring and everyone concerned should take a well-earned bow. This year’s spring festival is going to be a hard act to follow!
