Sporting legends to gather

The event serves as a fundraiser to assist former sports stars who may be in need of assistance.

The second South Coast Legends night will be held at the Margate Sports School on Friday, November 1.

Ten former Natal and Springbok legends will be present at the event.

Cost will be R4 500 per table of 10 guests, which includes a meal, two panel discussions, and an auction.

Proceeds generated will be donated to former rugby legends who need financial support.

Organisers Herman Flemming and former Bok lock Vleis Visagie said last year’s event was something special, with the late Boet Fourie being honoured.

The Legends concept is not new, having been hugely popular in Springs for many years.

The dinner last year was a huge success, prompting a repeat.

“The event serves as a fundraiser to assist former sports stars who may be in need of assistance. As always, rugby will be the main theme. Firstly, we want to honour our sporting and rugby legends. Further to this, our children and younger generations need to know who these legends were,” said Herman.

The event will be held at the Margate Sports School on November 1 at 18:00.

To book, contact Herman on 083 3256919 or Vleis on 072 7196521.
