Proud surfers represent Ugu

This was the most prestigious junior surfing tournament in South Africa.

The surfing team that represented Ugu District Surfriders at the 2024 Sea Harvest South African Junior Surfing Championships, held in Jefferey’s Bay recently, did well.

Unfortunately, they didn’t get any podium positions, but the results are as follows:

U12 girls: Skyla Nadauld – 6th.
U12 boys: Tom Pearson and Zach Shelver – 10th.
U14 girls: Haylie Le Roux – 10th and Jess Stott – 13th.
U14 boys: Kwanele Sashi -7th, Zach Johnson – 9th, andTravis Turrell and Thando Sashi1 – 10th.
U16 girls: Nina Dirkze Van Schalkwyk – 13th.
U16 boys: Clayton Robertse – 13th, Amkela Mgcina – 19th and Okuhle Ngcungama and Blayze Korsten – 29th.
U18 girls: Mayah Potgieter -7th.
U18 boys: Clayton Turrell – 5th, Evan Peyios – 9th, Daniel Kirton – 25th and Lisa Mbele – 29th.
