Gustav and Dean roar to victory

It was a good day all round.

The Battery-Tec Sheppie Lions Day at Port Shepstone Country Club last Saturday was won on 45 points by Dean Naicker and Gustav Schmidt.

In second place, just one point behind, were Milton Lang and Hennie Kruger.

Third place went to Paul Geoffery and Santhos Baskali on 43 points.

There was a full field and excellent support. Ian Jones provided the musical entertainment.

The weather was a bit windy (what’s new on a golf course?) but otherwise good.

Sandy Danckwerts was the event coordinator raising funds for the Lions, while Lane Allan handled the auctions.

The pro shop sponsored Alliance Waltz last Wednesday was won on 94 points by Tinus Pretorius, Rob Calder, Johann du Plessis and Vincent Ndovela.

Runners-up on 91 points were Sheldon van der Merwe, Piet Snyman, Rob Vogt and Dick Cotterell.
