R10k for first place in SC Marathon

Pre-entries for the 42km, 21km and 10km will receive a T-shirt. This is up to September 8.

The South Coast Marathon, presented by South Coast Striders and Ray Nkonyeni Municipality, will take place on Sunday, September 22.

Prize money for first place has been updated to now stand at R10 000, for both men and women.

Total prize money is R189 000, up from an expected R75 000 and way up on last year’s R45 000.

There will be an activation event outside Miladys in the Southcoast Mall today until 17:00.

The marathon will start and finish at the Ugu Sports and Leisure Centre. Start times are as follows: 42km – 06:00. 21km – 06:00. 10km – 07:00. 5km – 07:00.

Pre-entries for the 42km, 21km and 10km will receive a T-shirt. This is up to September 8.

Online entries will continue to be taken up to midnight on September 14, but will not receive a T-shirt.

All finishers will receive a medal.

Late entries and registration will be taken at Ugu stadium on September 21 from 14:00 to 17:00 and on the morning of the race from 04:30 to 05:30.

Entry fees:
Pre-entry: 42km – R350. R250 for 60+. 21km – R250. R150 for 60+. 10km – R200. 5km – R60.
Later entries: 42km – R390. R200 for 60+. 21km – R290. R150 for 60+. 10km – R230. 5km – R75.
